Rugo Stone was commissioned to install simple and complex marble elements in this project. The installation included various items made of cubic/solid marble with ornate carvings and intricate assemblies. Among the project’s marble furnishings is the Altar of Sacrifice, a baptismal font, a tabernacle pedestal, an ambo with a complex hand carved eagle, and CNC routed wall panels on a semi-circular-shaped rear apse. The Rugo team also built the structural CMU cores for the altar and the tabernacle pedestal.
Rigging the stone had to be performed with the utmost care, as all of the items were solid and heavy, with delicate carving and engraving. The team developed detailed procedures beforehand to ensure that Rugo handled the stone elements in the safest manner possible. The installation was very successful, and the church team was extremely pleased.
