This project is in the heart of Washington, DC, with proximity to the Old Executive Office Building. The seven-story building was initially constructed in 1962 and later renovated between 2014 and 2016. Since the building was open and occupied during the renovation, the project used phased construction to work around timing restrictions. Because of this, the work was performed at night. To install the building’s uniform, granite-clad facade, Rugo created a custom anchorage system to overcome a tight wall face and cavity assembly. As a result of Rugo’s anchorage system, the project was completed safely.
