The new Georgetown University Science Center features two major elevations clad with an extruded terra cotta clay tile rain screen cladding system mounted on a custom aluminum framing system. Rugo worked closely with our supplier in Germany to provide this modern cladding system with a unique textured surface, to add a rich “red brick” color to this historic college campus. This demanding project had a tight color range. It demanded detailed coordination with the stud wall contractor and window contractor to ensure our pre-fabricated system would fit within the dimensional limits of the envelope design.
