Absolute Black Granite Engraving & Fabrication
National Museum of the United States Army

Rugo Stone fabricated, engraved,  and installed 3 elegant signage walls for this museum dedicated to the US Army.

Throughout the National Museum of the United States Army, exist numerous signage walls fabricated, engraved, and installed by Rugo Stone. These striking installations evoke reflection as you tour a building that tells the story of dozens of battles, wars, and engagements all fought by the U.S. Army.

Rugo fabricated, engraved in our studio, and  installed 1st choice Absolute Black granite for three walls: two walls in the lobby with names of donors and Army campaigns and one in the Medal of Honor Garden. The selected granite is the purest black granite with no tonal color range or veining, which allows our expert engraving to read in a very legible manner on the reflective surface.

Rugo furnished and installed two crucial facets of the museum’s exterior. Chosen for the material’s availability and conducive to design needs, Mesabi Black granite pavers are engraved with donor and veteran names. In addition, Rugo collaborated with the project’s design team on engraving, fabrication, and installation techniques that highlight the Virginia Mist granite used for benches and the vast entry paving leading the visitors to the main entrance.
